Category: Getting to Know You
Hmm, let's see if this works. Just an interesting question. What one item in your home, would you say best describes you and your lifestyle. Why? come on let's hear some interesting answers. Use your imagination!hehehehehe smiles!
For those happy moments an oven: Warmer on the inside than out.
For those financially challenging moments: A gas meter. No matter how much money you feed in the fucker wants more!
For those moments when life gets depressing: Avacuum cleaner because, it sucks.
But most plausable of all, when I'm writing a response to a board topic: A toilet bowl. Full of piss and shit!
lmfao Harp, I'm going to have to think about this one I'll get back you with my answers later.
alone in a quiet room with tons of books
lol baby, i knew you would come up with some good ones. hehehehe smiles!
Lmao, dan. Well, after much thought, I'd say a candle... Because, it can be calm, conforting, but it can burn things. It can give light and warmth to a beautiful night, or when there's no light otherwise, and can be used in the wicked rituals of dark magic. But no, I don't melt... so....
…my smoothie maker… Mmmmm lovin’ the rough places to be made smooth….while yet freshly tart from natural fruits with the intermingling of coolness from the ices… once readied, lounging back and simply taking pleasure and enjoyment in.
hmm, probably my tread mill. because sometimes i walk, sometimes i race, run, either way i try to dance, and tread mills are what keep me sane. or insane.
Connie, can i share the smoothy maker please?
Awwww SEASON,
I would love to share my smoothy maker with you...bring some books along with you and we can have a time of relaxation catching up over books and a great beverage.
Cheers!
My Bed. Warm, comforting, solidly built, bounsy, plenty of storage space underneath for those little things that remind you of stuff in the past, safe and full of dreams.
A friend's Speedmaster Trimuph Trike it is just completely and utterly addictive.
Hmmm, i think iether my auto harp, because my life is full of music and neveran unaccompanied moment, or possibly my fake mink blanket.
My computer. Cause I'm ... an internet addict. Or my CDs, cause i'm a music addict.
I'd say my Playstation 2 because I'm a music listening, game playing, and movie watching bitch that's all I ever do if I'm not on the computer.
My computer is a possiblility for some reason if I don't go on it my day doesn't quite seem complete. Meaning the Zone, lol
lol. Yay for that.
lol, what an old topic. hehehehe
I would ahve to say my Melissa Etheridge Skin Cd.
In my living room there is a miniature statue of a man whose identity and history is unknown to me and I used to sit down and just stare at it for a long time wondering who he was and what he did. I know there's a story to this statue, but nothing ever convinces me that I ought to take the time to discover it. And I think it's better if I don't know because the moment I do learn this statue's story, it won't catch my attention anymore. I think I'm just like this statue. I could learn about this figure from what others have written, I could fill my mind with other people's perceptions, but second-hand sources of information always give me the funny feeling that I'm being lied to. I don't even think this makes sense but, yep, people's remarks and comments have made me feel like this statue sometimes.
My stressballs or my Bop It exxtreme whenm I'm angry or stressed out, my DVD player, because of my love of films, Sitcoms and reality TV shows, my bed, because I could just lie there and zonk forever to BBC 7 on the DAB radio next to it on a chest of drawers serving as my bedside cabinet, the aforementioned DAB radio, for stations like BBC7, Radio Berkshire, Talksport, Classic FM and Radio 2, a collection of beanies and other soft toys which either share my bed/zonkhole with me or reside in a lobsterpot/multi-storey net thing next to my rather large book case of cook books, teenage and adult fiction and ever-expanding collection of braille magazines, there's my laptop which I'm posting to this topic on now, and our desktop in the other room which seriously needs rebooting at som point in the not too distant future, because I'm an internet addict like you Ines, and I lurve my computer games, Harry Potter sites and stuff, there's my micro system for when I'm feeling swell and truly down so I just blow the whole blimming house down with noise (BTW we are detached) There's my digital piano and guitar in the office and in the dining room downstairs. If I'm feeling particularly musical sometimes, I'll sometimes, I'll go and tinkle the ivories, practicing nursery rhymes and other tunidge for my new little cousin who we're expecting to come in to the world any day now and lastly, but certainly not leastly, I have a trampette dcownstairs and also a cross trainer to look lively and bounce up and down on when I have a burst of energy. I couldn't possibly keep happy with just one item to describe me, my personality or anything.
my violin, the digital piano, my CD colection, and my books, because I love music and reading Oh, and of course, my computer, because I love the Internet, or at least the sites I allow myself to peruse
my TV because I like watching everything from emergency surgery to programs about rare diseases
Oo, same here Joanne. How strange. I prefer the widescreen TV downstairs though. It's linked up to our satellite dish, so I have access to oo, around 8/900 sky/satellite channels with audio description.
How do you get channels with audio description?
Compaines such as sky and freeview provide it, but with freeview you have to have a special box. okay, for me, one is my bed. it's just me there and my mind, which can disturb me with the way i think sometimes. my cd collection, which has all types of music in it, which describes my personality and i can lose myself in my own little world. My boppet extreme, i play this when i'm angry or when i want to feel close to a friend that is now deceased and used to have one, so, there's a few in there.
My CD collection, which could be used to analyze my personality, and my computer since I'm an electronic man, emotionless.
